The La Robeline Story...

L'histouaithe d'La Robeline

Located in the green lanes of St Ouen,  La Robeline Cider Co Ltd was founded in 2005 by the Matlocks after discovering and restoring an historic, turn-of-the-century, French cider press which Richard found in a Normandy barn.  Inspired by traditional Norman cider-making methods, Richard began producing an authentic “Cidre Bouchee” ~ a Champagne-style cider ~ using locally harvested apples.  Since then the business has grown and now we harvest from over 30 orchards which we have planted with traditional cider apple trees across the Island, all managed without chemicals. La Robeline produces artisan cider made from pure, fermented apple juice with no additives, alongside our own apple brandy distilled using a restored 1950 Parisienne mobile column still. The cider has received notable recognition, including awards at the Royal Bath & West Show and the Great Taste Awards.
